Since its launch in February, LAB+ has a portfolio of four companies, including B4RNA, LoCBio, Guska and Scaffold Biotech. Each of them is dedicated to finding solutions for different problems in human and animal health, ranging from cancer diagnosis and treatment to a vaccine against cattle ticks.

Selected startups will receive funding of up to $750,000
The startups Those selected in this new call for proposals will receive seed-stage funding (up to $750,000) and will be included in a top-level scientific ecosystem, with access to international experience in business, strategy, innovation, business development, administrative-accounting operations and intellectual property management; as well as laboratory facilities (30 m²) and access to infrastructure.
All proposals received will be evaluated taking into account the level of technological innovation and its scientific bases, but also the feasibility of its objectives; the definition of the problem addressed and the market potential; the comprehensive understanding of the current state of the art in intellectual property; the motivation and scientific trajectory of those who apply and finally, the commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration to create and develop a startup based on the science.
Thus, LAB+ advances in its objective of promoting science of quality, which generates world-class companies and proposes solutions to society’s problems, based on support for an economy based on knowledge.
