The world champion from Oberstdorf won the first of two individual races in Val di Fiemme on Saturday in the absence of the Norwegian World Cup dominator Jarl Magnus Riiber, who spared himself because of a back injury. Lamparter relegated the Germans Vinzenz Geiger (+16.5 seconds) and Eric Frenzel (+16.7) to second and third place. Mario Seidl came in sixth as the second best ÖSV athlete (+30.7).
After two World Championship titles (team sprint and large hill individual in Oberstdorf in 2021), the highly talented Lamparter has now also succeeded in the World Cup. The Tyrolean laid the foundation stone for this in jumping: with a 105.5 meter set, the 20-year-old went into the cross-country ski run with a 14 second lead over Frenzel and could not be missed in the 10-kilometer cross-country skiing.
Martin Fritz came in ninth as the third-best Austrian, Lukas Greiderer, who had had a cold last, came in eleventh. Franz-Josef Rehrl came in 26th on his comeback after a corona infection.
