The demand for real estate is increasing. The service of real estate agents was in greater demand in the first half of the year: This is one of the key findings of the half-year review by sReal, a subsidiary of Erste Bank and Sparkasse. The most sought-after property is therefore the second-hand property everywhere. According to sReal, older people are also increasingly looking for age-appropriate apartments that are barrier-free. Young people are still looking for property and would accept more affordable locations outside of urban centers. In addition, according to sReal, renovation subsidies are being well received.
The federal states were evaluated: “The first half of 2024 brought a cautiously positive development in the area of used residential properties,” says Ernst Mittermair, managing director of sReal in Upper Austria. Many property seekers are now becoming increasingly active.
