Iran may seek to interfere in elections via the Internet

Iran is gradually stepping up its internet activity, according to a recent report by Microsoft, with the intention of interfering in the US presidential elections to be held on November 5. These efforts, according to the technology company, are likely to intensify as the November elections approach. According to officials, these efforts appear to be aimed at weaken the candidates which are seen as more likely to escalate tensions with Tehran, like Republican Donald Trump, whose government annulled a nuclear deal with Iran, reinstated sanctions and ordered the assassination of a top Iranian general.

Russia and China seek to promote their interests in the US
