The performance of major manufacturing

When broken down by type of manufacturing and excluding free trade zones, exports of Manufactures of Industrial Origin (MOI) stood at $171 million in July, representing an increase of 27% compared to the same month in 2023 and 9.5% year-to-date.

In turn, the Manufactures of agricultural origin (MOA), had exports of 410 million dollars last month, an increase of 9.8% year-on-year, while so far this year they registered a decrease of 2.2%.

By category, among the MOI mines and quarries rose by 267%, pharmaceutical products improved by 46% and vehicles 41%, while lifting equipment fell by 40%. In the case of the MOA, sales of wood sawmill grew by 31%, those of milk products 17% and those of meat products 14%, while those of milling products fell by 8%.
