This Monday, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRREE), the president of the Uruguayan union, Facundo Marquezsigned the agreement between both parties within the framework of the first meeting of the bilateral Joint Committee.


The UEU celebrated the agreement through its social networks and clarified that the Joint Business Council was formed as a result of it, with the aim of “providing assistance to Saudi and Uruguayan companies” as well as “maintaining regular and effective communication, with the aim of stimulating bilateral trade and investment flows from both parties.”
In February, the CEO of the Center for Studies of Economic and Social Reality (Ceres), Ignacio Munyonoted that Saudi Arabia was “a large market” that presented “great complementarities with the Uruguay“.
