After quarantine: Linz back in ice training, newcomer on the defensive

After the eight-day corona-related compulsory break, the Steinbach Black Wings were able to hold an ice training session on Monday. The first of the twelve players who tested positive in the previous week have recovered and tested, but have not yet received a license from the Linzers. They only exist when the cracks have undergone a cardiac examination (consisting of an EKG and cardiac ultrasound). After the death of Bratislava striker Boris Sadecky in October as a result of an inflammation of the heart muscle, people on the Lower Danube are sensitized.

Defender Martin Stajnoch joined the first training session. The Slovak moved from Slovan Bratislava to the Upper Austrians and is supposed to stabilize the defensive. The 31-year-old knows the league from his time at Salzburg (92 games, eleven goals).

The next game for Linz is scheduled for Friday (away in Znojmo, 7.15 p.m.). The Czechs are also likely to have left this corona wave behind them, the chances of the Black Wings’ first game since December 28 are currently good.
