Israel intensified its airstrikes in southern Lebanon on Sunday after warning that the Shiite group Hezbollah was planning a large-scale attack on its territory with rockets and missiles, according to Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
The terrorist organization’s offensive was not long in coming, which included the launching of 320 Katyusha rockets and a “large number” of drones against “Israeli war aims” in response to the assassination of one of its founders (Fouad Shukur) which occurred last month in Beirut. “Our military operation ended today and has achieved” its objectives, the Islamist movement said.
