The 54-year-old was sentenced today, Tuesday, at the Salzburg Regional Court for dangerous threats to a partial fine of 1,800 euros, of which 1,200 euros are unconditional. The man from the Hallein district protested his innocence. He said his Instagram account had been hacked.
A video image of Anchober could be seen on the defendant’s account, it was about the subject of a Covid-19 vaccination. The accused’s comment is said to have been: “I’ve been seeing what’s happening for decades and you certainly won’t break it. I know how people will die. One more day, then I would be careful what you do – you will die.” The Salzburg resident said today that he was temporarily unable to log into Instagram until the summer. “I don’t know what happened during that time.”
The judge referred to the results of the investigation. The threat was sent from the accused’s account, “we have the geodata,” he justified the guilty verdict. The assumption that a hacker happens to come from the same place of residence as the accused is alien to life. The previously innocent early retiree, who had turned down a diversion offer, accepted the judgment. Because he came to the trial without a defense attorney and the public prosecutor’s representative did not make an explanation, the verdict is not final. A three-year probationary period was set for the 600 euro conditional portion of the fine.
