The bet that two young men make in Mozart’s opera “Cosí fan tutte” is fateful: to steal each other’s fiancées – unrecognized, because they are in disguise. “The world can’t be right anymore anyway,” says Thomas Kerbl, director of the Bad Hall Municipal Theater, where Mozart’s stroke of genius, directed by him, will premiere on September 6. “For me, the women are the heroines,” who have long since seen through the game of deception in his interpretation and “then take their right to pleasure.”
