The Ministry of Human Capital announced that during this month those who are part of the tax regime will have to re-register in order to “improve the tool and protect the resources of all Argentines.”

Starting this month, all beneficiaries of the Social Monotribute that are part of the programs Social Support, Return to Work and Microcredit They will have to re-register during Septemberas announced by the Ministry of Human Capital. In addition, they announced that from October, they will have to pay 50 percent of the cost of the social security.

From the National Secretariat for Children, Adolescents and Family they made the decision to implement these measures in order to “improve the tool and take care of the resources of all Argentines.” Of the total of 1,216,360 beneficiaries of the Social Monotributo, 622,477 are holders and 593,883 are adherents.

Monotributo social: how to re-register

Throughout the month, beneficiaries of social programs who have the Social Monotribute will have to re-register.

What is the Social Monotribute

The Social Monotribute is a tax regime intended for sectors of low income. From their contribution, beneficiaries can access their social work, issue invoices and retire.

The Government stressed that the re-registration will allow for the real universe of social self-employed taxpayers and will allow the tool to be used for the purpose for which it was created.

Who can access the Social Monotribute

However, the program is not open to everyone. Those who meet the following conditions may enroll:

  • Make a only economic activity independently.
  • Work in an employment relationship and your gross salary is lower to a minimum retirement.
  • Be part of a cooperative working with a minimum of 6 partners.

What are the requirements to be a social self-employed person?

  • Have a gross income annual lower to $999,657 either $83,305 monthly.
  • Be the owner of up to 2 properties, provided that one of them is affected by the productive enterprise.
  • Be the owner of up to a maximum of 3 registrable movable assets.
