Argentine fashion and accessories firm lands in El Salvador

The company with national capital Blue Star Group (BSG), known for its Todomoda and Isadora stores, announced his Arrival in El Salvador as part of its expansion plan in Central Americawhere it plans to open 15 locations in the coming years.

The Argentine firm has been developing an ambitious expansion project in the region, So far this year it has landed in countries such as Colombia, Panama, Uruguay and now El Salvador is added.

With more than 29 years of experience, Blue Star Group is an Argentine company dedicated to the design, production and marketing of fashion accessories through its brands Todomoda and Isadora. BSG has more than 800 physical stores distributed in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, Colombia, Panama, Uruguay and El Salvador, in addition to having 9 of its own digital channels and presence in marketplaces. It directly employs more than 4,000 people.

The expansion in the Caribbean country will be carried out in partnership with Impulso SA de CV and Tendencia SA, two local companies with more than 20 years of experience in fashion retail, which operate alongside international brands and multi-brand stores, in addition to being present in more than 50 stores in the main shopping centers. “With the entry of the Isadora and Todomoda brands, our group sees an extraordinary opportunity, not only for an incredible exchange of knowledge with a professional group like BSG, which has a successful and expanding global operation, but also to strengthen and lead the fashion accessories offering in the region. The company carries out openings with two types of modalities, on the one hand, own stores and on the other hand, master franchises. A system through which a local firm operates the brands and stores directly, connected to the central system to carry out joint management and thus take advantage of the infrastructure, technology and know-how of the Argentine company.

The first openings will take place in the Galerías shopping center, where both brands will open their doors. El Salvador is presented as one of the strategic markets in the region. Its similarity to Mexico, where the group’s brands have already reached a significant maturity, ensures a great deal of solidity in the implementation. “We trust that the similarity of these markets will allow us to quickly establish ourselves, offering enriching shopping experiences for the Salvadoran consumer,” says Claiton Santos, BSG’s expansion director.

The internationalization of the firm founded in 1995 began in 2001 with a location in Mexico and from there it did not stop growing.It even became the Argentine company with the most stores in the world and the leader in Latin America in the accessories and fashion sector.
