LASK fixed the first access

Who will represent Petar Filipovic if the central defender does not get fit in time after his operation? Who will replace Rene Renner if the wing defender is absent? LASK answered both questions with the signing of Filip Twardzik: The 28-year-old left-footed player played both positions at Trnava in the fall and switched to the black and white team. The German-Czech dual citizen is the first access in winter. He signed until the summer of 2025.

Profidebüt bei Celtic Glasgow

“Filip has already gained experience in several countries and can be deployed flexibly in defense,” said Sprort Director Radovan Vujanovic. “The fact that he speaks German is another plus point.” Twardzik grew up in Germany and worked in the youth departments of Erfurt, Hertha BSC and Celtic Glasgow. He made his professional debut for the Scottish top club in 2012 at the age of 18. He came to Trnava in January 2021 via the English second division side Bolton, Vitkovice, Ruzomberok and Marvina. “It’s an exciting challenge for me,” said Twardzik. “I’m really looking forward to getting to know the team.”
