How often do you train? Who is the best at football tennis? How long will Joao Luiz be injured? These were some of the many questions that were asked yesterday in the above-averagely full press room of the Hofmann Personal Stadium. FC Blau-Weiß Linz invited people to the first children’s press conference – many young Blau-Weiß fans answered the call of their favorite club.

Managing director Christoph Peschek, coach Gerald Scheiblehner and players Martin Moormann and Anderson answered the questions of the curious crowd – and clearly had fun when the kids took on the role of journalists. Peschek was asked to explain to the young group what the job of a managing director actually is. “I would be interested to know that too,” said BW coach Scheiblehner with a grin. In his usual humorous way, he also took the statement by BW supporter Hannah that Blau-Weiß Linz had been in third place after four match days: “We put that right with the defeat in Klagenfurt, now we are eighth again. Blau-Weiß will probably not be third so often again, except maybe next year when we go all out.” His player Moormann chimed in: “Well, I would rather be third at the end of the season than now.”
