The fire service, police and Red Cross have had an eventful and demanding few hours. Three serious traffic accidents occurred on the roads of Upper Austria.
In the early morning hours, around 2 a.m., the fire departments of Burgkirchen, Neukirchen and Mitternberg were alerted to an accident: a car had crashed head-on into a tree on the B156.
The oak tree was completely uprooted by the force of the impact, reports the head of operations, Commander Bernhard Friedl of the Burgkirchen fire department. “The BMW came off the road in a slight left-hand bend, knocked over the oak tree and came to a stop in an inclined position on the passenger side,” Friedl describes the accident in an interview with the OÖN.
