The 43-year-old was riding his light motorcycle towards Feldkirchen at around 7 p.m. on Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle. His friend and mechanic, 37-year-old Michael Reiter, was riding pillion. The two men did not survive the collision with a guardrail.
