There is now a new offer in Michaelnbach for the supply of regional food. Farmer Barbara Aichinger, the sisters Magdalena Stockinger and Elisabeth Haberfellner as well as Katharina Schmied have started their project “Tischlein deck dich”. With their food coop, they organize the supply of regional food, which is supplied by around 30 organic or conventional farmers and direct marketers. What is ordered online by Tuesday midnight at the latest (www.tischleindeckdich.jetzt), customers can pick up on Friday afternoon in the “Alte Tischlerei” (Am Sonnenhang 2) in Michaelnbach. The offer ranges from dairy products, bread and pastries, pasta, fruit and vegetables to meat, juices, oils, alcohol and homemade greeting cards and bags. Payment is processed online, customers top up a credit via bank transfer, from which the purchases are deducted.
“The basic idea of the jointly organized purchasing of regional products came about at the Ideenkirtag, a citizen participation process in Michaelnbach, Corona accelerated the project,” says Magdalena Stockinger, who works at the local authority and whose grandfather used to be the carpenter. Financial support was provided by the LEADER region Mostlandl-Hausruck in the amount of 5700 euros.
“Tischlein deck dich” started at the end of December, currently more than 50 customers are already registered, some of whom also do their weekly shopping, as the range is very diverse.
