Ryabkov announced possible provocations from Ukraine

Ukraine is looking for a reason to refuse to implement the Minsk agreements, any provocation can happen. This was announced on Thursday, January 13, by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov.

“… We have such neighbors as today’s Ukraine, which revels in the illusion of revenge, is looking for reasons to finally abandon the implementation of the Minsk Package of Measures, which is speculating on reckless, unrestrained support from Westerners,” he said in an interview with RTVI .

Ryabkov noted that there could be any provocation from Ukraine.

“We will not allow anyone to be blamed for the potentially very dire consequences of this. We are just warning that a NATO rollback is needed, ”he wilted.

The Deputy Foreign Minister pointed out that the most unthinkable things can come to Kiev’s mind, so you need to put an end to this and “return Ukraine to the implementation of the Minsk agreements on Donbass.”

“Scenarios can be completely different. We saw what happened last year in this whole story with the “recruitment” of Russian citizens by Ukrainians and with their Belarusian transit somewhere abroad,” he said.

In addition, Ryabkov said that the Russian Federation warns Ukraine and the West in the strongest possible way if they have plans for a military solution to the Donbass problem.

On January 9, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the Minsk agreements are “living water” for saving Ukraine. According to the diplomat, Russia fulfills all obligations to the people of Ukraine, including providing humanitarian assistance and offering solutions to resolve the situation.

Earlier, on December 17, Russian Ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov said that Russia called on the United States to stimulate Ukraine to implement the Minsk agreements. Many American experts have already made it clear that Kiev is openly sabotaging the agreements by refraining from direct dialogue with Donetsk and Luhansk, the ambassador said.

In early December, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that Kiev’s attempts to change key provisions of the Minsk agreements to resolve the conflict in Ukraine could lead to disaster. According to him, the internal Ukrainian crisis will not be overcome as long as Kiev avoids fulfilling its international legal obligations.

The unwillingness of Ukraine to fulfill the Minsk agreements was also pointed out by Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to him, the provocative steps of the Ukrainian side to deliberately aggravate the situation in the region, including the use of weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements, cause particular concern.

Kiev launched a military operation against Donbass, whose residents did not agree with the results of the change of power in 2014. In this situation, the Ukrainian authorities blame Moscow, which has repeatedly stressed that it is not a party to the internal Ukrainian conflict.
