A 36-year-old discovered a camera on the side wall of the cabin on October 21, 2021 when visiting a tanning studio in Spittal an der Drau, just as she was taking off her clothes. She then got dressed again and met a man she didn’t know. After an argument, the man fled, but the woman was able to take a picture of the car and file a complaint, police said on Thursday. The officials then identified a 27-year-old from the Villach district.
A large number of deleted intimate photos of various women were recovered on the man’s mobile phone. The pictures came mainly from tanning studios in the Upper Carinthian area. In addition, the investigators found pictures related to National Socialism and narcotic drugs.
During a house search on Thursday, further storage media and small amounts of cannabis were seized. The evaluation of the media will take some time, the police said. The man will then be reported to the Klagenfurt public prosecutor’s office.
