However, the precipitation will become more intense again from this morning, with the snow line rising to around 2000 metres. From Monday afternoon, water levels are expected to rise again, which could be as strong as last night.
Especially along the Inn, Traun and Enns, water levels could even be higher due to the Alpine catchment areas. The combined effects of rain and melting snow are not yet fully taken into account in the current hydrological models. Local flooding could also occur again today on smaller and medium-sized rivers, depending on the intensity of the precipitation.
