“We network the students with a JKU institute and renowned artists and accompany them and their project step by step,” says project coordinator Gregor Pechmann. “They receive the resources to present their field, research or artistic ideas to international media and festival guests.”
“Upgrade Resume”
Students can still submit applications for their projects to the LIT special call at lit@jku.at until January 30th. The project must be outlined, a time and cost plan drawn up and possible cooperation partners – from the artist, software developer to the University of Applied Arts in Vienna – should be listed. “Students can brush up on their CVs and portfolios at the Ars Electronica Festival while they’re still studying,” says Pechmann. “And also get a grant for their research, which is otherwise incredibly difficult.”
