Sophie Xenon was a Scottish musician, producer and DJ who passed away in 2021. She was an artist and transgender activistnoted for its experimental pop and electronic music.
In 2018 she released Oil of Every Pearl’s Un-Insides, an experimental hyperpop album, Grammy nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album. It combined aggressive electronic beats with ethereal melodies about identity and acceptance.
The artist died in January 2021 at the age of 34, after suffering a domestic accident in which He tripped on the stairs of the building where he lived. Today, September 17, his 38th anniversary of birth is celebrated.
