The Steyr Mobility Days at the weekend, which took place for the first time this year over two days and at two locations, attracted great interest. The crowds at the BMW engine plant were already huge on Friday. “The tours were quickly fully booked,” confirms Daniela Zeiner from the Technology & Innovation Center Steyr (TIC), who also moderated a high-profile panel discussion under the motto “Mobility in Transition – Challenges and Future Scenarios.”

During the 120-minute tour of the engine plant, there were insights into the development site in Steyr and the mechanical production of engine components. It was also shown how digitalization is making its way into production and how the site will develop through the series production of electric drives. There were also many exciting keynote speeches. On Saturday, climate-friendly vehicles could be admired on the town square, and there was a bike workshop and charity cycling.
