The BCRA launched a new application that allows faster access to the Central de Deudores

The Central de Deudores API “will facilitate quick and easy access to data on financing granted in the financial system,” the entity said in a statement.

The Central Bank (BCRA) announced this that launched the API (Application Programming Interface) of Central de Deudoresa technological development “that optimizes the interaction between programs and applications, improving access to public information and financial transparency.”

This development is the fourth API implemented by the Central Bank, which is added to the already available catalogue that includes APIs on Main Variables, Reported Checks and Foreign Exchange Statistics, released during April, June and August, respectively.

APIs are innovative, public and free tools that allow for more agile and cost-effective interaction with databases, reducing both costs and query times for market players.

These instruments represent a substantial advance in terms of efficiency and accessibility, also strengthening the security of the country’s financial operations.

The new API of Central de Deudores facilitates, for each tax identification code (CUIT, CUIL or CDI), the following queries:

  • Consolidated reports on the amount, status, and days of arrears of financing granted by financial institutions, non-financial credit and purchase card issuers, peer-to-peer credit service providers through platforms, mutual guarantee companies, public guarantee funds, financial trusts, and other non-financial credit providers.
  • Reports on bounced checks

The launch of the APIs “is part of the strategy of Open Finance of the BCRA, aimed at improving the circulation of information in the financial system, which promotes inclusion and transparency,” the entity said.
