Bayern after 4-0 in Cologne again six points ahead of Dortmund

The leaders celebrated a 4-0 away win against 1. FC Köln and are still six points ahead of BVB, who beat Freiburg 5-1 on Friday. RB Leipzig won 2-0 in Stuttgart, Mainz beat Bochum 1-0 in their own stadium. Union Berlin put Hoffenheim in their place 2-1, Wolfsburg ended goalless against Hertha.

In the evening game, Bayer Leverkusen won 2-1 away against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 19th round ends on Sunday with the games Augsburg – Eintracht Frankfurt and Arminia Bielefeld – Greuther Fürth.

In Cologne, the hosts had no chance against Bayern, who played well. Robert Lewandowski became man of the day with a triple pack (9th, 62nd, 74th). The Pole now has 300 league goals, only Gerd Müller (365) is even better. Corentin Tolisso also signed up for Bayern’s shooting list (25′). Bayern, who lost to Gladbach last week at the start of the year, have now scored at least one goal in 66 championship games in a row, improving their own record.

Marcel Sabitzer played for the winners up to the 75th minute and, as in the previous week, as a left-back. At Köln, Louis Schaub was on the field up to the 57th minute, Dejan Ljubicic came on in the 58th minute, Florian Kainz completed the game over the entire distance.

Leverkusen new third

Their ÖFB teammate Christopher Trimmel advanced to fifth place with Union Berlin thanks to the success over Hoffenheim. Andreas Voglsammer (22nd) and Grischa Prömel (73rd) scored for the capital city, an own goal by Timo Baumgartl (16th) was not enough for TSG (Christoph Baumgartner played through, Stefan Posch until the 89th minute).

Due to Hoffenheim falling over, Leverkusen moved up to third place. The goals for the Werkself against Gladbach were scored by Robert Andrich (51st) and Patrik Schick (74th) from a corner. Nico Elvedi (81st) managed to make the result cosmetic for coach Adi Hütter’s team, who let Stefan Lainer play until the 80th minute. His goalie Yann Sommer parried penalties from Schick (50′) and Kerem Demirbay (87′).

Victories for Mainz and Leipzig

In addition to Leverkusen, FSV Mainz 05 also had three points to celebrate. A goal by Jeremiah St. Juste (48th) brought the decision in favor of the hosts against Bochum, where Karim Onisiwo was substituted in the 94th minute and Kevin Stöger came on the field in the 80th minute.

VfB Stuttgart lost 2-0 at home against Leipzig after goals from Andre Silva (11th/penalty) and Christopher Nkunku (70th). Sasa Kalajdzic played through for the Swabians, the injured Konrad Laimer was missing on the other side.
