YPF Luz: “The industry is asking us to provide renewable energy”
During the last cycle of Scope Debate about Energy and Mining made days ago, the Chief Operation Officer of YPF Luz, Santiago Sajaroff, focused on the need to increase generation through renewable energies.

Santiago Sajaroff, from YPF Luz, highlighted Argentina’s potential to be an exporter of renewable energies.
At the event, titled “Energy security and the future agenda” and moderated by the editor of Scope and Energy Report, Sebastian D. PenelliSajaroff specified that YPF Luz is “a provider of energy solutions, basically electrical because it is our core, which adapts to what each client needs”.
“Today the industry is asking us to provide renewable energy to its process for values higher than those dictated by law,” he said, adding that “Argentina had exceptional development in renewable energies, but all of this represents approximately 14% of total electricity consumption, considering solar, wind and biomass, among others.”
“Each technology has different values, but there will be ten times growth in the coming years in terms of energy and four times in terms of company. Every year we are constantly growing and it has been combining renewable energies with thermal energy. Today we are third in the generation ranking, both total and renewable energy, and we lead in what is called MATER”, projection.
