The supreme leader of Iranthe ayatollah Ali Khameneidecreed five days of national mourning after the confirmation of the death of Nasrallah and called the muslims of the world to support Hezbollah. He also stated: “Nasrallah’s death will not go unavenged”.
Russiaan ally of Iran, also condemned the murder and urged Israel to cease its military operations in Lebanon, attributing, through a foreign ministry statement, the “full responsibility” of the “dramatic” consequences that the assassination of Nasrallah could cause.
Lastly, the Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yihe denounced in the UN General Assembly that “force cannot replace justice” after the bombings of Israel in the last hours against Lebanon and the deep ravages of the war in Gaza.
The Chinese representative was awarded “progress” in “intra-Palestinian reconciliation” and was willing to work with “like-minded” countries to resolve that conflict and achieve “lasting peace and stability in the Middle East”.
