Oil rises almost 5% after Iran’s attack on Israel

In the last few hours, Israel is carrying out a ground incursion into southern Lebanon, this situation pushed the barrel up.

The barrel of oil soars almost 5% this Tuesday due to Iran’s attacks on Israeli territory. So, Brent jumps 4.6% to US$75.02 and WTI advances 4.9% to US$71.50.

It should be noted that Brent registered sharp falls at the beginning of the day. In fact, crude oil has just had a disastrous quarter, with losses of up to 17%.

In the last hours, Israel carried out a ground incursion into southern Lebanonwhich is being accompanied by aerial and artillery fire, as explained by the Israeli authorities. This situation pushed the barrel upwards, which had just marked a negative trend due to concerns about demand.

Iran’s response to Israel

But this Tuesday came Iran’s response. Dozens of explosions were recorded this Tuesday over Jerusalem while alarm sirens rang out, AFP journalists reported.

The explosions occurred shortly after the Israeli military claimed that Iran had launched missiles toward Israel.

Since the war in Gaza began almost a year ago, the armies of Israel and Hezbollah have exchanged fire and more than 160,000 people have left their homes on both sides of the border.

In recent weeks Israel reinforced its offensive against Hezbollahwhich began with the detonation of thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies and which has left hundreds of thousands of people displaced.
