They immediately got down to business: When Salzburg hockey greats like Matthias Trattnig played together with the EHC kids, the first acquaintances were made and the experiences of the stars passed on. “We will be supported by players and coaches from Salzburg over the next few years in order to massively improve our youth work. There will also be cooperation in the areas of coach qualification, ice ages and marketing. We currently have 40 children playing and we plan to increase this number 100,” says EHC boss Florentin Höller. The mayor of Vöcklabruck, Peter Schobesberger, was also present at the children’s training: “The work of the EHC Vöcklabruck is extremely important for our kids. Maja, the youngest participant in the children’s training, was fully committed and it was a pleasure to meet her and the watching others. Youth work is extremely important to me. It means healthy exercise, team spirit and integration.”
