The vice president’s private official visit with Pope Francis was confirmed for next October 14. Previously, he will make a stop in Spain where he will speak at the UN International Conference on Victims of Terrorism.
The vice president Victoria Villarruel will be received on next October 14 on a private official visit by the Pope Francisofficial sources reported. This is Villarruel’s first international outing since taking office.
The vice president will participate next Monday in a UN conference on Victims of Terrorism in Spain and will visit the local Senate, at the beginning of her activities in Europe. The president of the Upper House will depart on Sunday from Ezeiza Airport on a scheduled flight to Madrid.
On Monday morning he will meet with the president of the Spanish Senate, Pedro Rollan Ojedaand in the afternoon he will have an audience with the Ibero-American Secretary General, Andres Allamandin Salamanca.
Villarruel will speak at the UN International Conference on Victims of Terrorism
On Tuesday, meanwhile, Villarruel will speak in the afternoon at the United Nations International Conference on Victims of Terrorism which will take place at the Europa Conference Center in the Spanish city of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The objective of this conference is to continue the First Global Congress of Victims of Terrorism held in September 2022 at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in New York, and advance in the “promotion of global policies of reparation and support for victims and the preservation of their memory.”
On Wednesday, October 9, meanwhile, Villarruel will pass by the Liria Palace, where he will tour the exhibition “Letters from Columbus-America in the House of Alba”, which exhibits part of the American heritage preserved in the family collection, and which includes 24 autographs of Christopher Columbus.
Later he will participate in a reception offered by the Argentine ambassador to Spain, Roberto Bosch, at the Argentine Residence.
To end his time on Spanish soil, on Friday the 11th he will share a lunch in Madrid with Argentine and Spanish businessmen at the Argentine Embassy.
The agenda will conclude on Monday, October 14 with the meeting with Pope Francis, with whom he will hold a private official audience in the Paul VI Room of the Holy See.
