Two adults and a child have been killed in a shooting in the parking lot of a shopping mall in Wilmington, North Carolina. This was reported on January 16 by the local police on Facebook.
It is specified that the man who opened fire wounded himself.
“On arrival, law enforcement officers found that three people had been shot dead. From their injuries, they died on the spot … The suspect was taken to the hospital, and he is currently in rehabilitation after a self-inflicted gunshot wound, ”the message says.
The motive for the crime is still unclear, but the police assured that there was no danger to the population – it was an isolated case.
An investigation is currently underway.
The day before it was reported that six people were injured in a shooting in Eugene (Oregon).
The incident happened at a concert at WOW Music Hall. The police are currently searching for the shooter.
