The man was occasionally employed, said a spokesman on Monday on request. The accused is suspected of having helped “a large number of people” to obtain a forged 2G certificate through his actions, explained Leopold Bien from the St. Pölten public prosecutor’s office. The accused – according to the prosecution he belonged to the medical staff of the center – is said to have issued vaccination certificates or confirmations without injections to protect against corona being administered. It is being investigated because of the intentional endangerment of people by communicable diseases, because those affected are said to have pursued activities with the help of falsified evidence that are only permitted for those who have been vaccinated or have recovered.
With regard to the exact procedure, the time of the crime and possible accomplices, both Notruf NÖ and the spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office remained covered with reference to the ongoing investigations. No further information about the suspect was released.
Notruf NÖ is said to have noticed and reported the machinations. The man was caught red-handed on Saturday and arrested. The interrogation and further investigation results confirmed the suspicion, the public prosecutor said. Because there was no reason for arrest, the accused was released.
