The French car manufacturer Peugeot is consistently continuing the electrification of its model range: the latest addition to the family is the fully electric Peugeot e-408. With one exception (Peugeot 508 sedan/estate), there is at least one purely electric variant in every model series.
The fastback coupé, which is produced at the factory in Mulhouse, has an electric motor with a system output of 157 kW (210 hp) under the long hood. An NMC battery pack (nickel, manganese, cobalt) with a usable capacity of 58.2 kilowatt hours (kWh) serves as energy storage. The French state the standard consumption as 15.2 kWh per 100 kilometers; the combined range (WLTP standard) should be up to 453 kilometers. This is made possible by sophisticated aerodynamics and three-stage recuperation.
