The alarm was received by the state fire brigade command at 5:40 p.m.: A truck had caught fire in the municipality of Gosau (Gmunden district). The Gosau, Rußbach, Ebensee and Sankt Agatha fire departments responded. When they arrived at the scene, the heavy vehicle was already fully engulfed in flames. Pictures showed the flames blazing meters high into the sky, and the black column of smoke could be seen for kilometers. Fortunately, the driver was able to get to safety in time.
