Cristina Kirchner accepted the nomination to preside over the PJ and called for the unity of Peronism

After the “outcry” operation launched last week by numerous Kirchnerist leaders for the former president to lead the PJ, Cristina published an extensive public letter in which she reviews recent history in the country, concluding with an analysis of the current situation and the future of Justicialism.

Cristina Kirchner’s letter to Peronism

On the last page of the document, under the subtitle “Straighten and order”, he stated: “Ayes things, today Peronism only governs 5 of the 23 Argentine provinces and lost the majority in the Chamber of Senators; “This is a situation of loss of institutional representation unprecedented in the democratic period.”

On this point, she stated: “I want to tell you that I am willing, once again, to accept the challenge of debating in unity Because if I am also clear about something, it is that there is no one left over here. However, unity needs direction and a project to build the best possible Peronism in an Argentina that has become impossible for the majority of its inhabitants.”

He further maintained that “lAchieving this is not an objective in itself, but conceiving our party as the instrument that must take the first step to regroup all the political and social forces behind a government program that returns this Argentina mired in cruelty and hatred of fools, the hope and pride of being Argentine”.

“Beyond that, Peronism continues to be the force with the largest number of national deputies and senators and this requires, due to historical understanding and political responsibility, its own reconstruction addressing each and every one of the new social demands,” points out the text.

Along this path, Fernández de Kirchner assured that “it is clear that we must straighten out what has gone wrong and order what has been disordered” and that “this raises the need to create a sphere of discussion and participation that does not exist today and that its absence “it only generates confusion and emptiness.”

“I have no doubt that, at this stage, the party is the most appropriate place to develop the continent that generates the content and that it also has direction and objectives,” launched.

At the same time, the former president stated that “we must accept that nothing is set in stone and that everything must be rethought and discussed” and insisted with two proposals made in a document dated September 6: modification of labor relations and their impact, new statehood for a new State, reversal of the fiscal deficit and how to do it, review and reform of public education, security, modifications in social communication, etc.

“High hopes”

In another passage of the document, Cristina admitted that “the challenge is great and that party cadres are not enough.” Nevertheless, clarified that he has great hopes. “Last month, Peronism won the student centers in four faculties of the UBA, conquering, for the first time since 1973, the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (FADU), which is the second largest of said house of studies,” shot.

“We must launch the second transfer, incorporating the new generations in secondary schools, universities, unions, social movements and, from there, rebuild the presence in the popular neighborhoods together with the churches, the development societies, the neighborhood clubs and all those institutions organized from the community,” he added.

Finally, the leader thanks “to all our colleagues, the expressions of affection and messages of support for being the President of our party.” “I have never occupied a position without being certain that I was qualified for the task entrusted to me; without fear or pressure,” launched.

Then, in a postscript, he referred to the thesis “Peronism – Anti-Peronism” that he develops in the letter and pointed out that “beyond the folklore of the silver forms, in reality we could never agree on what the model of economic accumulation should be; as the founders did in the US -almost 250 years ago- or China -only 75 years ago-“.

“Look if it is not important for a Nation to define how it accumulates economically. It seems unbelievable, but ‘field or industry’ still remains an issue, in a civilizational stage where technological innovation makes the difference. I aspire to be able to address that discussion as well, so that the pendulum only returns to being the mechanism of a clock”, he concluded.

In this way, if the scenario does not change, Cristina joins the governor of La Rioja, Ricardo Quintelawho until now was the only candidate to lead the Justicialista Party, which will have elections on November 17.
