There were wild scenes that took place one night at the beginning of May in the Innviertel: For around 40 minutes, a car – clearly overcrowded with seven young people – was pursued by several police patrols for 40 kilometers across the Braunau district. The occupants are said to have thrown bags, presumably filled with drugs, out of the car as they fled. The car broke through several roadblocks before ramming a police car in St. Johann am Walde and finally coming to a stop in a driveway in the town of Schauberg. Three officers were injured during the operation.
