Wound management prevented imminent amputation

“I was lucky to keep my leg,” says Harald M. Thanks to Maria Brandstötter, head of wound management in the Salzkammergut region, he was spared an amputation.

Chronic wounds are a reality for many people. Harald M. had a wound on his left heel that rapidly got worse. As a result, he was given an appointment to have his leg amputated. “Then, thank God, I found out about the competence of the Salzkammergut wound management team,” says M. “My leg was secured there, and with it my quality of life. I am heartily grateful to have met Ms. Brandstötter.”

Maria Brandstötter is Head of Wound Management Salzkammergut, which offers outpatient wound care in a practice in Seepark Kammer. “Mr. M. was able to heal through wound competence and good interdisciplinary cooperation.” Brandstötter emphasizes that successful treatment is also possible with long-standing, painful and chronic wounds. “The whole team at the Schörfling site is delighted with such results.”
