“I was lucky to keep my leg,” says Harald M. Thanks to Maria Brandstötter, head of wound management in the Salzkammergut region, he was spared an amputation.
Chronic wounds are a reality for many people. Harald M. had a wound on his left heel that rapidly got worse. As a result, he was given an appointment to have his leg amputated. “Then, thank God, I found out about the competence of the Salzkammergut wound management team,” says M. “My leg was secured there, and with it my quality of life. I am heartily grateful to have met Ms. Brandstötter.”
Maria Brandstötter is Head of Wound Management Salzkammergut, which offers outpatient wound care in a practice in Seepark Kammer. “Mr. M. was able to heal through wound competence and good interdisciplinary cooperation.” Brandstötter emphasizes that successful treatment is also possible with long-standing, painful and chronic wounds. “The whole team at the Schörfling site is delighted with such results.”
