A renewed rush of visitors can be expected at the next edition of the international model building fair on October 19th and 20th in the halls of the Ried trade fair. An incredible 97.1 percent of visitors said last year that they would recommend the trade fair, according to the organizers. This year’s program also has what it takes to attract visitors; word of the quality of the Ried model building fair has long since spread throughout the region – many fans come from neighboring Bavaria.

The 16th edition of the successful trade fair presented by the OÖN extends to eight large halls and the covered FACC Sky Dome, 183 exhibitors and clubs from six countries have been announced. The range extends from plastic and cardboard model building to RC models, model trains and Lego right up to a Playmobil exhibition.

“It is extremely gratifying that we manage to bring tried-and-tested and new things to Ried every year. The tens of thousands of visitors and the beaming eyes of our guests are the greatest reward for this,” says trade fair director Helmut Slezak. Model makers from all over Austria and from many parts of Europe are attracted to the largest exhibition in the German-speaking region in the area of plastic and cardboard model making. Specialist retailers offer a wide range of products, kits and accessories. There are hundreds of different models to admire in this trade fair area.
