Two weeks after Houston attorney Tony Buzbee said he would soon represent at least 120 accusers against Sean “Diddy” Combsthe attorney on Monday filed his first six sexual assault complaints, including one from a man who claims he was a teenager at the time of his encounter with the music mogul.
The six lawsuits, which were obtained by TheWrap, were filed in the Southern District of New York under the Gender Violence Victims Protection Act, and the allegations date from between 1995 and 2021. Buzbee represents four John Doe and two Jane Doe in these cases.
Diddy Combs accused of abusing a 16-year-old boy
One of the four unnamed male victims claims he was 16 when he was sexually assaulted at one of Combs’ white parties in the Hamptons in 1998.
According to the victim, who was a teenager at the time, a mutual friend invited him to the party at Combs’ mansion, where he ran into the rapper (an apparent photograph of the couple at the event in question is included in the legal documents). “Combs became interested in John Doe” and they had a pleasant conversation about the entertainment industry, according to the lawsuit. “When John Doe admitted that his voice wasn’t very good, Combs assured him that it didn’t matter. Combs made it clear that the only thing that mattered was having the right look for the industry, and with it, Combs could transform Doe, or anyone, into a star.”
However, “Combs abruptly told John Doe that he needed to drop his pants. John Doe, taken completely by surprise, asked Combs to repeat what he had said. Combs was clear. “He ordered John Doe to drop his pants and expose his penis so Combs could inspect it, explaining that it was a rite of passage and the path to becoming a star, and also as a way to prove his worth,” the lawsuit alleges. .
“Out of fear, anxiety, and the unbalanced power dynamic between him and Combs, John Doe dropped his pants and exposed his penis as Combs had previously instructed him,” it continues. “Combs reached out and grabbed John Doe’s penis and genitals with his hand.. He firmly cupped and held John Doe’s genitals for an extended period of time. During this time, Combs moved his hand in such a way that he manipulated John Doe’s genitals, squeezing them and feeling them… Combs abruptly released John Doe’s genitals and told him that his people would be in touch. “Combs continued with his party as if nothing had happened, but for John Doe, everything had changed.”
“We will let the allegations in the complaints filed speak for themselves and work to see that justice is served,” Buzbee shared in a statement to Rolling Stone. “We look forward to filing many more cases in the coming weeks naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare filings.”
Meanwhile, Diddy’s lawyer, Erica Wolffissued the following statement to TMZ after Buzbee’s initial press conference: “As Mr. Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every baseless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus. That said, Mr. Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors.. Mr. Buzbee has yet to file a single lawsuit in any jurisdiction. Mr. Combs looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when lawsuits are filed, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation.”
When will Sean Combs’ trial take place?
A May 5, 2025 trial date has been set for Combs’ separate federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution. He remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center as all his attempts to be released have been denied.
