The mining sector of Jujuy will organize again the next Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd November an important tournament chess with special guests and $1.5 million in prizes.
According to what the organizers told Energy Reportthis is an activity organized by mining companies and suppliers for civil society. “It is a chess tournament that we are doing for the schools of the different mining provinces, particularly to attract students from the schools in the interior of the provinces,” they stated. This tournament has already been held several times in Catamarca and now returns to Jujuy.
Among the special guests, the participation of Diego Flores7-time Argentine champion; Carolina Lujanmultiple Argentine, South American and Pan American champion; Sandro Marecograndmaster, No. 1 in Argentina and Ibero-American champion of 2022; and Florencia Fernandezinternational master and multiple Argentine champion.

The tournament is promoted as the “best rapid in Argentina”, under the modality Swiss Tournament to 9 rounds. Swiss style is similar to a round-robin tournament in which no player is eliminated. All players will play all rounds and the player with the most points at the end of the tournament will be the winner.
