The president Javier Milei and the ministers Luis Caputo and Federico Sturzenegger They will go looking for the most powerful men and women in the country to give them signs of support for their economic plan. The red circle will listen to them waiting for better expectations, in the midst of an economy that is not rebounding and that is still marked by the exchange rate clamp on the dollar. For now, only the drop in inflation and the surplus, both at the cost of adjustment and recession, is all that the Government can show.
The first to speak before the businessmen will be Caputo, who will do so this afternoon. He is expected to provide his vision on the current state of the country’s economy and expectations for the coming months. It will be the first highlight of the 60th IDEA Colloquium, which will take place in the city of Mar del Plata.
After threatening last year and finally visiting the spa city on the same date as the event but without attending, Milei confirmed her participation, this time to close the meeting next Friday.
Four governors will also give their views before the business audience that will meet in Mar del Plata, a day later, on Thursday on the second day of the meeting.
The governors of Catamarca, Raúl Jalil, will be present; from Entre Ríos, Rogelio Frigerio; from Chubut, Ignacio Torres; and from Corrientes, Gustavo Valdés.
The last day of the Colloquium will be the turn of the Minister of Deregulation and Transformation of the State, Federico Sturzenegger, who will present in a panel tailored to his needs: “The need to free ourselves from the State.”
The event will end at noon, when it is time for “The vision of the President of the Nation”, when President Javier Milei will participate.
Last year, the leader of La Libertad Avanza (LLA) was invited to the IDEA Colloquium, he threatened to go, but finally ended up putting together a “counter-colloquium” on a terrace of a restaurant in Mar del Plata, where he caught the attention of many of the businessmen who were at the meeting at the Hilton hotel.
Now as president, Milei accepted the invitation and confirmed attendance at the meeting that brings together the senior staff of the Argentine business community.
