The Cobra task force, a police helicopter and a drone were deployed. After consultation with the management, however, two young suspects were quickly identified. The boys, aged 14 and 15, are now being investigated for making dangerous threats.
According to media reports, it is said to be a middle school in Leibnitz, where a killing spree is said to have been planned. The police did not want to confirm this announcement, but in any case it was a threat. It was initially “to be classified as serious”, it said in the afternoon broadcast. Therefore, in the morning, several police patrols were sent to the school for so-called danger research. While the building was secured from the outside, plainclothes officers spoke to the school’s board of directors and sounded out the situation.
When two suspects were found, the situation relaxed quickly. Weapons were not found. There was no danger to other students, police said. By 9:00 a.m., the operation was over.
