What is Electrical State about?
Electric State is a spectacular adventure from the directors of Avengers: Endgameset in an alternate, retro-futuristic version of the 1990s. Millie Bobby Brown plays Michelle, an orphaned teenager who explores life in a society where there are robots with cartoon-like feelings and pets, who once served peacefully. among humans and who now live in exile after a failed insurgency. Everything Michelle thinks she knows about the world changes one night with the visit of Cosmo, a sweet and mysterious robot apparently controlled by Christopher, her resourceful younger brother, whom she thought was dead. Determined to find him, Michelle and Cosmo embark on a journey through the American Southwest.
Soon, Michelle reluctantly joins forces with Keats (Pratt), a small-time smuggler and his wisecracking robot sidekick (voiced by Anthony Mackie). As they venture into the robotic exclusion zone—a walled corner of the desert where robots now exist on their own—Keats and Michelle encounter a strange, colorful group of new animatronic allies and begin to realize that the forces behind Christopher’s disappearance are more sinister than they could have imagined.
