The fire department was alerted at 10:27 a.m. on Saturday. A fire was reported, presumably in the kitchen on the first floor of a house. When the emergency services arrived on Vogelsangstrasse in Tiefgraben, smoke could already be seen.
The first step was to check whether anyone was in the house. “Due to the unclear situation as to whether there were people in the house, a search for people was carried out on the heavily smoke-filled first floor by the FF Mondsee respiratory protection team. After no people were found, firefighting began,” said operations manager Georg Brucker from the Hof fire department.
