The province of Currents hosted this Tuesday the first meeting of the Federal Agricultural Council of the Litoral Region, the brand new bloc made up of six governors, which was officially launched last week in Santa Fe. The meeting was chaired by the Corrientes president Gustavo Valdes and was attended by officials from the various administrations that are part of the space and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation, SENASA, INTA and Banco Nación, among others.

“The State must be close to producers so that they deploy their full potential, as well as be a guarantor of their competitiveness and profitability, because if those who produce do well, Argentina will do well,” the president commented on his social networks after the meeting.
In turn, the Secretary of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock of the Nation, Sergio Iraetastated that it is “a pride and an honor to be in Corrientes, participating in this meeting.”
And he stressed that from the Nation “We are supporting joint work with the provinces” and asked for everyone’s support so that “Argentina flourishes again.”
“These meetings are very important to know the needs and how we can solve the issues that make the people of the countryside uncomfortable,” The national official emphasized that if the “provinces do well, the Nation will do much better.”

Coastal Region, new alliance of provinces
The Federal Agricultural Council of the Litoral Region is presented as a institutional space, where the national and provincial authorities of the agroindustrial sector address all those issues related to the sector that, due to their impact on regional or provincial economies, require a federal, transversal, broad and collaborative perspective.
The Coastal Region was officially established last Wednesday, during a summit in the city of Santa Fe.
