Finally Blade of Marvel Studios will not be released on November 7, 2025, but disney will premiere Predator: Badlands by 20th Century Studios.

The reboot of the famous Marvel movie starring Wesley Snipes was first announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019 featuring two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali as protagonist. Production and development of Blade suffered inevitable delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic and two industry strikes.

The project saw two directors leave, first Bassam Tariqwhich was considering starting in fall 2022, then Yann Demange. Mia Goth is set to play the supervillain Lilith in the vampire slayer movie. She told Deadline’s Natalie Sitek at the world premiere of her film A24. MaXXXinethat regarding the Blade delays, Marvel “really cares, they do. They want to make a great movie. That’s the feeling I get from them and that feels good.”

Marvel wants to make “the best Blade movie ever”

For Marvel boss Kevin Feige, it’s important to make the best Blade movie ever. The studio won’t make the movie until it has created a great script. Meanwhile, Snipes made a cameo as Blade in the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, Deadpool & Wolverine from Marvel Studios.

The Blade films are possibly the first R-rated superhero film series. Released in 1998 by New Line Cinema, the other two titles in the trilogy were Blade II from 2002 and Blade: Trinity in 2004, which in total grossed $418.1 million at the global box office.

Additionally, three untitled Marvel movies are dated February 18, 2028, May 5, 2028, and November 10, 2028.
