Meta Pool launches its Governance call and presents new initiatives

Meta Pool, one of the fastest growing DAOs, has launched its global governance call.

Meta Pool will introduce an instant lending tool using staked tokens as collateral, increasing flexibility and liquidity in its DeFi ecosystem.

The DAO prepares the LST Index, a token that will simplify the management of DeFi assets, and the integration with Burrito Wallet will improve the user experience on Solana.

The company will run the mpIP-11 initiative for greater transparency in DAO voting, in addition to launching a multilingual dApp and grant rounds to foster innovation at NEAR.

Within the call, various topics will be discussed such as new initiatives for the last quarter of 2024.

What will be some of the new Meta Pool initiatives?

Launch of loans and borrowings in the EVM

One of the most anticipated launches for this quarter is the introduction of a lending and borrowing product on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

This tool will allow users to access instant loans using their staked tokens as collateral, giving them greater flexibility in managing their assets. In turn, lenders will be able to generate returns by providing liquidity to the market. With this launch, Meta Pool seeks to boost its liquid staking token, $mpETH, increasing the efficiency of its DeFi ecosystem.

Preparation for the Liquid Staking Token (LST) Index

In parallel, Meta Pool is working on the creation of its LST Index, a new token that will represent a basket of liquid staking tokens. This product will allow users to access multiple assets without the need to manage them individually. The LST Index will simplify investment decision-making within the DeFi ecosystem, providing a streamlined way to access Meta Pool opportunities.

Integration with Burrito Wallet

Another important milestone is the integration with Burrito Wallet, which will allow users to manage their assets more efficiently and easily. This collaboration will facilitate interaction with Meta Pool’s liquid staking products on Solana, offering users a more seamless and accessible experience.

Multilingual dApp launched

To improve global accessibility, Meta Pool has launched a multilingual version of its dApp, starting with Asian languages such as Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean. This step is key to attracting new users from these regions and encouraging their participation in the decentralized economy, eliminating language barriers.

DAO Governance: Running mpIP 11

In the area of governance, Meta Pool will execute the mpIP-11 improvement proposal, which aims to increase transparency in the DAO voting process. This initiative will allow all community members to easily access voting data, encouraging greater participation and understanding of the process. Meta Pool believes that these improvements are essential to move towards more inclusive and transparent governance.

Subsidy Rounds and potlock grants

Meta Pool is also announcing a grant round supported by Potlock, with a $15,000 USD fund going toward innovative projects within the NEAR ecosystem. Projects that meet eligibility criteria, such as Meta Pool staking and governance participation, will be able to access these funds. Additionally, the community is invited to share their comments and suggestions on the NEAR governance forum.

MemeFi experiment

To creatively and funly explore the market cycle, Meta Pool launches the MemeFi Experiment in collaboration with meme projects within the NEAR ecosystem. This initiative seeks to not only celebrate meme culture, but also strengthen ties between users and encourage creativity in the DeFi space.

In conclusion, Meta Pool continues to position itself as a key player in the DeFi ecosystem, with a series of initiatives ranging from innovation in financial products such as lending on the EVM and the LST Index, to integration with platforms such as Burrito Wallet to improve the user experience.
