A passer-by called the fire brigade in the morning because he had seen the long-haired German Shepherd weighing around 40 kilograms on the roof of the house. The four-legged friend had climbed out through a skylight. However, the slope on the roof bothered him, so he tripped and whimpered back and forth, reported the Alkoven volunteer fire brigade.
Rescuer only had slight pain in his arm
The emergency services were still positioning their telescopic mast platform when the brown-black animal fell from the house – fireman Niklas Unter had positioned himself under the roof and instinctively caught the falling dog. He jumped to the ground in a flash and ran away. Obviously, the four-legged friend survived the adventure just as well as his “catcher”, the fireman only felt a slight pain in his arm. The firefighters tried unsuccessfully to catch the shepherd dog, and in the afternoon the owner, who had meanwhile arrived, went in search of her darling.
