The central streets not only stood out for the delivery of ballots, the conversation of the militants and the contribution of the flags, but there was also room for a large presence of political leaders.
This is the case of the senator Jorge Gandini (PN), who used a cap to protect himself from the sun and was handing out ballots to people. Less than 20 meters from there and in a climate of total harmony, it was Charles Carrera, the now former FA senator who resigned from his seat and his candidacy after the scandal over the use of the Police Hospital, after the promotion of the process against him by Gandini.

The PC legislator was present at the scene, Sebastian Sanguinetti, as well as the candidate for vice president of the Colorado Party, Robert Silva, who in statements to Ámbito stated that there is “a lot of enthusiasm and joy” for the candidacy of Andrés Ojeda.
“It has been a while, and look, there were campaigns, that I did not feel this effervescence within the Colorado Party. We had the worst election in 2004, we recovered in some and we were always out of the conversation. Now we are in and even hoping to be in the runoff,” he highlighted about Ojeda’s possibilities.
At the same time, he highlighted “the Uruguayan democracy pointing out that “a candidate for vice president can be circulating among the cars, without grievances, some take the list and others do not.” At the same time, he highlighted: “There are several of us who are here, happy, celebrating democracy and fighting vote by vote.”
