A bus with employees of the Syrian Ministry of Internal Affairs was blown up on the Damascus-Daraa highway, RIA Novosti reports on January 19, citing sources.
“A bus with fighters from the “maintenance of order” unit working at the Nasib border checkpoint on the border with Jordan was blown up by an explosive device while driving in the direction of Damascus after the end of the shift,” the report says.
According to preliminary data, at least 12 fighters were injured.
According to the source, unidentified persons planted a bomb on a section of the road between the settlements of Gariya Gharbiya and Khorbet Ghazal on the Damascus-Daraa highway.
The explosion occurred after the bus drove past him for a distance of about 10 m.
The details of the incident are being investigated.
